- Purity face wash
From the Purity Organic range, the Purity face wash contains only natural ingredients, and is fragrance free and gentle, specifically aimed at sensitive skin. The bottle itself has a clever designed dispenser- pushing one half of the lid down makes the other half pop up with an opening to squeeze the gel formula through. Although fine for the bathroom cabinet, I probably wouldn’t risk taking it in hand luggage in case it was accidently squeezed when travelling!
The face wash itself is halfway between a gel and liquid, feeling slightly slimy to apply, but once massaged in with a bit of water it forms a nice creamy lather. It left my skin feeling soft, and was good for removing makeup even around the eyes as it was very gentle. It would be ideal for anyone with delicate or sensitive skin, but I didn’t find it very effective for problem skin. For a budget cleanser you get a lot of product for your money, and would be worth buying as an everyday wash- particularly as it is non-animal tested, 100% natural and contains organic ingredients.
The Purity moisturiser is marketed as a ‘light mousse’, so the texture was a bit different to what I was expecting! It is actually a very rich, thick cream, which again is fragrance free.
The formula had to be rubbed quite a lot to sink in to the skin, and I found that if skin was at all damp, then the mixture would sit on the surface rather than be absorbed. It left skin feeling soft and supple, but I probably wouldn’t recommend it for oily skin. (more…)

- makeup basic
All of us know that makeup can really do wonders, but unfortunately not all of us know the techniques behind applying it.
Doing make up is an art, and if you want to learn the secrets of this art for yourself, then the first thing you should know is that the face shape is an important factor around which the makeup application is formed. If you are not fond of your facial features or face shape cosmetics makeup can be used to remake your appearance.
Beautiful features can easily be enhanced with the proper kind of cosmetics makeup. It can enrich your beauty, but you should also be careful that it doesn’t have the opposite effect. Below are some tips on application techniques that will compliment the shape of your face.
The oval face is said to be the most exemplary and aesthetically desired one. It needs the least make up. But still you may apply dark foundation on the chin and on the forehead to make it not that intensely oval.
The round face usually has the same proportions of length and weight, so you’ll need to use cosmetics makeup to make it more prominent. If you have a round face apply darker foundation on the temples and around the lower part of the face, the jawline especially, to make it look oval.
The square face differs from the round face in that it is more bony and its jawline corners are more expressive and sharp than that of the round face. The temples and the jawline are more accentuated. So these two areas should be targeted. Apply relatively dark foundation on the temples and the jawline to make it less outlined. The next step is to apply a lighter contour on the center of your forehead and eyes. This will visually concentrate the attention on the center of your face and shift the attention from the corners creating an illusion of an oval face.
