Weatherhead Beautiful Bag, Like Falling From Heaven

When I first held a bag of Jessica Weatherhead (who themselves are attracting into your arms, I swear), I knew it was more a sort of bag. Her butter soft skin, your cut pattern that flowed into a shell wrapped in a white fabric twisted, braided rope as his belt and blue silk lining, this beautiful bag like something out of an underwater paradise . I knew the story behind this whimsical piece of beauty, and the designer herself, has been anything but boring.

And I was right.

Weatherhead for their portfolios are not the product of technical and construction preconceived. Instead, it is an inspired creation that begins with the right set of materials and, naturally, in a work of art.

They often begin with bits of leather, such as reducing the minimum number to keep the edge skin raw, then fold the pieces in this way and that until you find something that works with the natural skin . Weatherhead found in algae from the local coast inspired the cutting pattern on the bag I fell in love, which was supplemented by a shell back to the beach. Each of the bags, bits and ripe with heavy balls on personal history, telling a story and, as I had expected, is more than one bag.

The 24-year-old artist who began painting, he stumbled on the decisions of shares at a cons-Home Canada trek in Alberta. Weatherhead when he met a woman from Winnipeg who made moccasins, seeds were planted and when her boyfriend soon after their accession equipped with a leather factory and tools for his birthday, eagerly explore beyond their beloved painting and began working with skins.

Unlike oil paintings have sold for years, these art pieces will be suspended from the shoulders, wrists and elbows and the pedestrian streets of the city, rather than returned to homes and cafes. But Weatherhead, everything is the same, which is part of the passive relationship between the artist and the viewer makes the whole process worthwhile.

Is Sandra Bullock’s Husband Cheating?

Did Sandra Bullock’s husband cheat on her or is a tattoo model trying to drum up some publicity – or both?

Michelle “Bombshell” McGee claims she slept with Jesse James for about eleven months, and provides intimate details, which has landed the allegations on the cover of In Touch magazine.

In Touch:

When Sandra Bullock thanked her bad-boy husband, Jesse James, as she accepted her best actress Oscar for The Blind Side, she may not have known that while she was away shooting the film, Jesse was carrying on a steamy affair with a tattoo model. While Jesse has had an 11-month affair, including five weeks of sex, with Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, she believed he and Sandra were no longer together.

“I would never have hooked up with him if I thought he was a married man,” Michelle tells In Touch in an exclusive interview. “He gave me the impression they were separated.” For weeks, while Sandra was in Atlanta shooting The Blind Side, Michelle had sex at least once a week with the Monster Garage star. Far from a one-night stand, his relationship with Michelle was intimate and highly charged. Michelle even says she called Jesse, who didn’t wear underwear or condoms, by a special pet name, Vanilla Gorilla, because he was so “well-endowed.”

While Jesse was in Atlanta with Sandra when she started to film The Blind Side, Michelle sent West Coast Choppers a friend request because she hoped to snag a modeling gig there. She was surprised that it was actually Jesse who wrote back to her and told her to e-mail him at his personal e-mail. From the start, Jesse wanted to meet Michelle, and it was never about business: “He started saying, ‘Do you want to hang out?’”

What is Quidnunc?

Quidnunc definition ; So three weeks of this have demonstrated that you people have pretty strong vocabularies. Makes me happy to see I have high-quality readers. But it makes my job difficult.

On the one hand, I have to give you tough and rarely used words. But on the other, I don’t want to get into things like scientific words, words from biology or words that describe some really weird particular circumstance that never happens and that no one will ever have need to use.

So I feel I have a fairly narrow needle to thread here between a very high bar and one that doesn’t descend down particularist ratholes. I guess the smarties among you can get all five and feel happy, while others might learn a useful word or two.

That said, we soldier on.

1. If something adumbrates another thing, it:
a. amplifies it or explains it further.
b. complicates it by introducing an unexpected element.
c. prefigures or foreshadows it.

2. A sedulous person is:
a. gullible and naïve.
b. generally intelligent but possessing strange gaps in knowledge.
c. assiduous and persevering.

3. A feuilleton is:
a. a challenge one person makes to another, as might precipitate a duel.
b. a decorative adornment, usually following a leaf pattern.
c. a piece of light writing; fiction, review, essay etc.

4. If something is phlogistic, it:
a. induces inflammation or fever.
b. causes the size of one’s head to increase.
c. acts as a lubricant or loosener.

5. A quidnunc is:
a. a clown or jester.
b. a gossip or busybody.
c. a thing of little value, not worth one’s trouble.

The Amber Gem
The Amber Gem

What is Amber?

Amber is a fossil. Actually is the result of fossilized tree resin. Over an immens period of time, the resin from the ancient forests has gone through a number of changes creating an exceptional gem with extraordinary properties. Amber has been appreciated for its color and natural beauty and is used for the manufacture of ornamental objects and jewelry.

How precious is this gem?

There are five classes of amber, defined on the basis of their chemical constituents. Even if amber occurs in a variety of colors, the most abundant type ranges from pale yellow to deep orange and brown, but when you think of amber you think of honey color. There are also unusual colors of this gem such as red amber (the “cherry amber”), green amber, and even blue amber, which is rare and up-to-the-minute. The most expensive gem is transparent, and is more appreciated than the very common cloudy amber and opaque amber.

Amber is always in fashion. Being a valuable gem it preserves its beauty and value over time. It can be worn at parties, cocktails or other events and is proper to wear in all seasons. The key is to determine the cut of the amber jewelry pieces you want and considering the large pieces available on the market you must find a suiting cut. While amber is generally cabochon cut, it is also available in various different shapes and styles of beading, in amber chips and even in inlay. (more…)

Boots Botantics Luxurious Bath Elixir
Boots Botantics Luxurious Bath Elixir

This has been a particularly grey and rainy winter in San Francisco, so I’ve been enjoying more than average soaks in the tub. One of the most luxurious features of our cozy Victorian home is the pedestal soaking tub. It is the perfect length and depth for renewing, relaxing and melting the chills of winter away. To supplement these bath soaks I am always on the look out for a lovely smelling ultra bubbly bath foam.

I recently picked up a bottle of Boots Botantics Luxurious Bath Elixir ($9.99 at Drugstore.com). I am a fan of Boots Chemist from my days in London, and was thrilled to find their products stateside as well at Target and Drugstore.com. Boots is known for their reasonably priced beauty and grooming products and is the #1 beauty and skincare brand in the UK.

The Botantics Luxurious Bath Elixir is meant to heal and relax tired muscles as well as relieve every day stresses. Perfect if you are sitting at a computer all day, like me! It contains Iceland moss as a main ingredient. The label also mentions that the ingredients are authenticated by Kew Royal Botanic Gardens.

The smell of the elixir is a bit heavy and smoky, but sweet…and the liquid is very thick like the consistency of honey. It also generates loads of bubbles, for a nice frothy and sweet smelling bath. You only need about a tablespoon for each bath, a little bit goes a long way. (more…)

Macy Gray in “Beauty In The World”

Macy Gray
Macy Gray

We haven’t heard Macy Gray’s distinctive baby-girl rasp in awhile—her last album, Big, dropped in 2007, and unfortunately, failed to live up to its name. But we were recently treated to a new track from the singer, the cheery “Beauty in The World.” Was the song worth the wait?

This is pretty much the exact opposite of Macy’s ode to casual violence, the electro-tinged “Slap a Bitch,” one of the last tracks we’ve heard from Macy all the way back in 2008 (which continues to be prominently pimped out on her MySpace page). She’s obviously turning in a new direction, as “Beauty” is a joyful, life-affirming pop tune, complete with folky hand claps. And it certainly does not provoke listeners to slap any bitches nearby.

It reminds us of a song that would play during a Coca-Cola commercial, not entirely unlike the all-star revue “Open Happiness”—maybe it’s the simple, feel-good message and the catchy refrain “beauty in the world”? In any case, the song isn’t that trailblazing or remarkable, but it could (and inevitably will) be a great jingle. That might come across as a backwards compliment, but you tell that to CSS, Feist and all the other acts who owe their careers partly to the commercials in which their songs appeared.

Macy’s May release, The Sellout, is produced by the likes of Rodney Jerkins and Caz James, and features several different artists, including Bobby Brown (whom makes more appearances in reality television shows than on albums these days). Gray recently discussed how she was able to find herself while recording her new tunes:
